Chaffey College Health Sciences Building - Chino, CA

The Health Sciences Building was jointly funded and programmed by the college and the County of San Bernardino which needed work force training in health care. The facility accommodates five health education and science instruction labs including nursing skills, microbiology, physiology and anatomy. Funding from the County was conditioned on completion of the project within a stipulated time frame and we completed programming, design and construction documents in 12 months. The project budget did not permit full build out in one phase of all program area required for a complete comprehensive Allied Health/Nursing program. During the Pre-Design/Programming phase we developed a master plan for the site that would allow for expansion of the building. The north-south orientation of this Phase 1 building will be complemented at a later date by an "L" shaped addition forming a north-facing courtyard at the heart of what will become the Chino Campus Science Quadrangle.
