Los Angeles Trade Technical College Student Services/Administration Building - Los Angeles, CA
Certified at the LEED Gold level, the Student Services/Administration Building is one of two buildings that form the new front door to Los Angeles Trade Technical College's transformative South Campus in downtown. Facing Grand Avenue, the main thoroughfare of downtown, this important site has become the new face of the college, the oldest in the Los Angeles Community College District system. The five-story, 60,000 SF one-stop-shop facility includes the Student Services Center, the Student Resources Center and office and conference space for college administration. The multi-functional building was programmed and designed to adhere to a "student first" customer service oriented model. Web-based queuing technology is utilized throughout to best facilitate students through the enrollment process, minimizing wait times and as a result, reducing building floor by eliminating large waiting rooms. Together with the Technology Classroom Building, the Student Services/Administration Building is the largest project in the district that emerged out of bond measures passed in 2001 and is the result of our firm's comprehensive master plan for the campus.
